Okay, this is not really part of my sketchbook – I wish I could come up with these that easily. But it is definitely about London, and more precisely about South London, where I’m based.
Wherever I live, I like to feel the history of the place, the vibe of it, the architecture, and everything else, and I like to see that represented in my home. I just like to find ways to honor my neighborhood, my town, my community. So I decided to honor South London in my own little ways, and to have it framed in my living room.
I always like colors in what I draw, so I went as far as I personally could with these. It’s kind of nice to have something that pop on a white wall.
If you’ve ever been around Brixton in London, they might feel familiar.
