Sketchbook: Two Years In London

Warren Street Station, London

After two years in Sydney, I felt like Europe was calling out for me. I decided to move to London on a whim, and as unprepared as I felt when I moved to Australia two years before, this was nothing compared to London. I remember sitting for five hours at the airport when I arrived, wondering what did I just do, and why did I leave all my friends for a country where I know no one.

I can’t say the quality of life in London measures up to Sydney, that would be a lie. But London does make me feel like I’m where everything is happening. In retrospect, I would make that decision a thousand times again.
